Description:
Intern and gain real-world experience in San Ignacio, Belize. San Ignacio is an attractive market town set among tropical hills and home to a diverse population of Creole, Maya and Mestizo populations. As an intern, you will work abroad with the community and one of our affiliated non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government social programs or a self-initiated project. Your project is determined by community need and your skills and interests. You will be a part of real, sustainable development. A designated Project Coordinator guides each intern through the project planning, execution and conclusion phases of their program.
In addition, interns enjoy a flexible program structure which allows them to gradually increase their level of immersion. Programs also include cultural and adventure excursions including visits to Mayan ruins, hikes in the lush rain forests and local festivals.
