Description: Volunteer or intern in a medical facility in Vietnam. ELI works with Health organizations where volunteers can gain clinical experience, assist with public health campaigns, and gain insight into the complicated health issues Vietnam is grappling with. In Hanoi, volunteers can work with clinics that cater to underserved populations, an HIV/AIDS prevention campaign, or in the clinics associated with residential centers for victims of Agent Orange. In Ho Chi Minh City, volunteers can work at one of several clinics catering to the poor of Ho Chi Minh City. Volunteers will assist with general tasks in the clinic, assist with physical therapy exercises, and other tasks depending on their qualifications.

Qualifications / Skills Needed: - English and/or Vietnamese language
- Participants must be either medical students or health professionals

Intern Types: Health Sciences, Kinesiology/Exercise Science, Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy and Social Work

This program is open to a wide variety of participants. Preference is give to medical school students and participants with past clinical experience.

Typical Volunteer: There is no typical ELI volunteer. We work with people from all over the world and a variety of backgrounds. ELI has placed volunteers ranging in age from 18-81. Successful volunteers are flexible, upbeat, energetic, and inquisitive.

Age Range: 18 and up

This Program is open to World Wide Participants. This Program is also open to Couples and Individuals.
