Description:
The College of Engineering at Syracuse University has approved a series of internships and independent study projects to be conducted in cooperation with the engineering laboratories at the Universidad Polytecnica de Madrid. The program is designed for engineering students in all major areas of engineering: aerospace, civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, bioengineering and computer science.
The student who chooses to work on a University project is placed on a team of doctoral students and faculty working in collaboration with members of one of many University partner firms located in Madrid. The student who chooses an internship will carry out research in an engineering firm in Madrid.
Students can also take a 3 or 4 credit Spanish language course at SU Madrid, and participate in optional field trips at an extra cost. Interested students may request specific information regarding projects for credit pre-approval. Since the projects are ongoing, the nature of the work may vary at the time of arrival.
