Description: This non-profit was started four years ago to help street kids.

Internships are for 4 hours each day. The amount of time you choose to intern is flexible, with program lengths from 2 to 6 months. 3 weeks of intensive Spanish language classes at a University are included in the fee. Transcripts available. 9 different levels of courses to ensure that even really advanced or very beginner candidates are taken care of. This can be a non-academic or academic internship - you decide.

Highlights: Important! There are several differences in terms of items included--please note these differences! For example: Most meals are included in this program and you have an Independent Living option.

- Lodging and meals are included. Live in your own room with a Costa Rican family near to the University. (Beware of other programs that seem to have lower prices but do not include housing or even worse, programs where you don't know where you are going to be living until after you arrive!)
- Independent Living Option: You live in Adelante-provided housing for month 1 and then you can choose to live on your own in an apartment. We will assist you with this process in-country. Inquire about price difference.
- Intern placement services and ongoing counseling for your work assignment in pre-selected area of interest.
- Easy 4-step program process, prior to departure.
- You will be met at the airport or bus station when you arrive and taken directly to your lodging.
- English speaking Adelante staff is available to you to support, assist and in many other ways to be there for you should you need it 24 hours/7 days a week.
- Orientation packet provided

Qualifications / Skills Needed: Candidates should be independent and flexible and be aware that Costa Rica is a developing country. University graduate or currently enrolled university level is also a requirement.

Cost in US$: From $3,365 to $6,370 for 2-6 months, plus $150 application fee. Please contact Adelante to inquire about prices for longer programs up to 12 months.
